SEWI Festival of Books Hosts Evening with Author Kathie Giorgio and Radio Producer Stephanie Lecci
Waukesha, WI, June 1, 2016–June is a busy month for award-winning author Kathie Giorgio, who has not one, but two new books debuting this month.
ODDITIES AND ENDINGS: THE COLLECTED STORIES OF KATHIE GIORGIO and TRUE LIGHT FALLS IN MANY FORMS, Giorgio’s first chapbook of poetry to be published, are both being released by Giorgio’s long-time publisher Main Street Rag Publishing Co., on June 1, 2016. Main Street Rag recently won Mid-American Review’s Best Small Press Award.
To mark the tandem book releases, Kathie Giorgio will be the guest of honor at a special evening event hosted by the Southeast Wisconsin Festival of Books at the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha on June 16 from 6-8pm. The event, a fundraiser for the book festival which is entering its sixth year, will include a reception for the author followed by a program featuring a special interview with Giorgio conducted by Stephanie Lecci, formerly of WUWM’s “Lake Effect” and now newscast producer with St. Louis Public Radio. A book signing will immediately follow the program.
Music will be provided by members of the Waukesha South High School Symphony Orchestra.
Tickets for the event are $35 per person (includes a copy of each book) or $20 per person for the event only.
