Writers from Wisconsin and the surrounding area will be featured at the 14th Annual Southeast Wisconsin Festival of Books on Friday and Saturday, November 3 and 4, 2023 at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee at Waukesha.

This is the largest book festival all under one roof in Wisconsin. This free event will provide talks, readings and panel discussions on topics that include poetry, history, travel, mystery, current events, food, popular culture, and contemporary literature. Author discussions, musical performances, exhibits, book sales and book signings will add to the festivities.

The kickoff event on Friday night will be followed by a day-long event featuring book discussions, readings, and topical presentations for readers and writers of all genres throughout the day on Saturday. Authors interested in presenting can use this form to contact the Program Committee.

In addition to the presentations, the Festival’s partner bookstore, Books & Company of Oconomowoc, will have books by the featured authors available for purchase, and the Festival will have signings by presenting authors, the Don Taylor Writers Marketplace, and a noontime cabaret in conjunction with Waukesha Reads.

The Southeast Wisconsin Festival of Books is free and open to the public at the UWM at Waukesha. Parking is free in all campus parking lots. A complete schedule will be available Sept. 1, 2023 at www.sewibookfest.com.
