Kathie Giorgio Biography
In Kathie’s voice, you’ll hear the sharp R’s of her St. Louis origin, and the elongated O’s of northern Minnesota, where she spent her childhood. But mostly, you’ll hear Waukesha, Wisconsin, where Kathie has lived since 1976, and which she loves. Giorgio’s short stories and poems have appeared in Prairie Schooner, Fiction International, and Harpur Palate, among others. She was nominated for the 2014 Write Well Award, the Million Writer Award, the Best of the Net anthology, and has been interviewed in Poets & Writers. Her first novel, The Home for Wayward Clocks, earned the Wisconsin Library Association’s Outstanding Achievement Award. She is the director/founder of AllWriters’ Workplace and Workshop, an international creative writing studio.
